Abstract: Aim. This study aimed to investigate the species diversity of woody plants used for landscaping in the territory of Leipzig. Methods. The study was based on a retrospective and comparative analysis of data obtained throughout 2019–2021, followed by updates provided to the lists of woody plant assortments used throughout 2017–2018 and 2020–2021. A retrospective assessment of the species diversity of woody plants and a forecast of possible future changes in the assortment were carried out. The assessment was based on determining the incidence of plants in the context of families, species, forms, varieties, life forms, origin, nature of use, and habitats of natural growth. The retrospective and comparative analysis results show that the assortment of woody plants used for the city landscaping represents 135 species, forms, and varieties, which belong to 57 genera and 25 families, reflecting the diversity inherent in other cities. In the context of habitats of natural growth, the Eurasian species is dominant in city landscaping. Conclusions. The species diversity of woody plants used for landscaping in Leipzig has been affected by the lack of an established landscaping practice with ornamental plants, the predominance of local flora plants, and assortment expansion due to bushes. Scientific novelty. This study revealed regularities in the distribution dynamics of woody plants, which are the basis for determining promising directions for breeding aimed at landscaping urban areas.

Abstract: Aim. This study aimed to determine the geographical features and species traits of thermoregulation in small rodents of the vole subfamily. Methods. The study objects were [...] Load More northern red-backed, grey-sided, and narrow-skulled voles, tundra voles, and Siberian and hoofed lemmings inhabiting the Danube, Sava, and Velika Morava River Basins in Serbia. Results. The characteristics of metabolic rate, chemical thermoregulation, and thermal insulation properties of small rodents’ pelage were determined. It was established that under the living conditions in a narrower spectrum of annual ambient temperatures, an isolation type of adaptation characterized by a low intensity of chemical thermoregulation and high thermal insulation properties of the rodents’ pelage, increased their ability to accumulate endogenous energy reserves, as demonstrated in the case of Siberian and hoofed lemmings, tundra voles, and grey-sided voles. A type of metabolic adaptation was identified in small rodents living in conditions with a wide annual range of ambient temperatures. According to this type, the response to changes in the temperature regime relates to a change in the intensity of chemical thermoregulation and the size of internal organs, which allow homeostasis to be maintained under stressed temperature conditions. Conclusion. The main adaptation responses of small rodents of the vole subfamily to changes in temperature regimes are isolation and metabolic response prioritized by the climatic conditions of the rodents’ habitat. Scientific novelty. The geographical features and species traits of adaptation of small rodents to the changes in the temperature regimes were determined empirically; this contributes to the development of applied aspects of mammalogy.

The study was based on 16 collection samples of vegetable soybean varieties from Germany, Canada, France, Sweden, and Japan, which acted as starting material for the experiments implemented in 2019–2021 in Northern Germany. We simulated the production of functional dairy products and soybean germs, and determined the main morphological, biochemical, and economic characteristics for these varieties, given the soil and climatic characteristics of the region under study. The distinguishing features were a short vegetation period and low fertility level of sod-podzolic soils. We then carried out a comparative assessment of the characteristics of vegetable varieties with the characteristics of existing oil-bearing soybean varieties. Conclusions. The study presents the main characteristics of vegetable varieties of soybeans, justifying their use for functional food production. Scientific novelty. We proposed methods of breeding optimization on developing new soybean varieties for functional food production with appropriate agronomic and biological characteristics.

The following indicators were calculated to determine the level of soil stability: buffering capacity to acidification, absorbed bases, relative potassium activity, potential potassium buffering, phosphorus concentration level, desorption capacity, and potential phosphate buffering. We determined the level of humus content based on Tyurin's methods of assessing the agrochemical value, soil structure, capacity, and buffering concerning acid-base indices. A thermodynamic assessment of the phosphate soil quality was carried out using the method of phosphate sorption isotherms. We also carried out a prediction of the potassium quality of agro-grey soil using correlation and regression analysis, during which the relationship between humus and potassium activity was established. We determined the buffering capacity to acidifying of soil based on the potentiometric method. Results. We calculated the necessary content of humus and exchangeable potassium in the soil to increase soil fertility. Conclusions. The results show the dependence of buffering capacity to acidification on the content of absorbed bases of calcium, magnesium, and different types of acidity in agro-grey soil. Scientific novelty. We developed a model of the agrochemical stability of agro-grey heavy loamy silty soil in the context of three levels: low, medium, and high.

#1-agr Influence of mineral fertilizer structure and composition on productivity and quality of different Chinese cabbage hybrids

Abstract: Aim. This article aimed to assess the optimal structure and composition of mineral fertilizers to improve the yield and quality of different hybrids of Chinese cabbage. Methods. The number of experimental replications was four times. For the mathematical processing of the experimental results, the variance method was used. Results. The yield of Chinese cabbage depending on the fertilizer variant, the indicators of yield removal, and utilization coefficients from the soil and mineral fertilizers were calculated. Conclusions. The mobile forms of phosphorus have an insignificant influence on the yield of Chinese cabbage, unlike nitrogen fertilizers with accompanying weather conditions. The maximum yield of cabbage heads of hybrid F1 Kudesnitsa was 17–41 tons/ha at a dose of N120, and that of hybrid F1 Nika was 24–43 tons/ha at a dose of N120P90K120. The maximum productivity of the green mass of Chinese cabbage was 40–76 tons/ha at a dose of N120. Scientific novelty. The impact of mineral fertilizers and weather conditions on the yield of Chinese cabbage and the optimal structure of mineral fertilizers, providing the maximum yield of cabbage heads of F1 Kudesnitsa and F1 Nica hybrids, was experimentally substantiated.

The analytical [...] Load More examination was done for three periods: 2019, 2020, and 2021, in the context of two focus groups (employees and self-employed persons). Results: The types of professional independence were identified. The internal and external factors determining the independence degree of labor behavior were established. The differences in the context of external factors related to the working environment and workplace organization for self-employed persons compared to employees are highlighted. The difference in self-assessments regarding the degree of professional freedom in the labor sphere is discussed, both in the context of the groups examined and periods. The major trends in self-employment development are outlined as catering to a stable social-employee group in the labor market. Conclusion: The study showed that the degree of professional freedom closely correlates to the social processes developing in society in recent decades. The outcomes of the study show different results for various periods. These are consequences of the higher social status of the employed in the labor market. Scientific novelty: The direct proportional dependence of the professional freedom level and the level of professional and job features in the process of labor activity is empirically substantiated.

The descriptive method was used to classify the cultural types and vital elements of the sociocultural regulation mechanism. Results: The fundamental components of the mechanism of sociocultural regulation are justified. The authors discuss the features of various elements in forming the cultural space and the value system of young people. The cultural and semantic types that dominate the youth environment are outlined. They reflect the specific characteristics of the consciousness and life activity of young people. Empirically, the correlation of cultural types and life attitudes with archetypes was revealed, and the correlation of life values with young people’s mental traits and habitus. It was found that the spiritual culture, the culture of physical development, and the adaptive culture have the most significant influence on the self-regulation of young people’s life goals between the culture types. The most influential archetypes are the idealization of the past, fate, and the good. Conclusion: It is revealed that the life priorities of most young people are based on traditional cultural values they inherited within the collective unconscious and which are consciously modified, following the needs of young people, and demonstrating the tendencies to rationalization. Scientific novelty: The relationship between the meaning of life of the young generation and cultural-semantic types in the process of compensatory relationship between the conscious and unconscious is empirically substantiated.

Abstract: The article's objective is the sociological analysis of low student performance factors in professional competencies' development in the German higher education system. The sociological survey was conducted [...] Load More in several stages from 2019 to 2021. The interviews covered 1,860 university students. Five focus groups were formed by sample sociological inquiry and setting quotas in students' qualification training. Students and teachers from 7 Berlin universities were interviewed. Results: The components of student academic performance in German universities have been justified, and the key characteristics of its low level have been revealed. The essence of the notion of "students’ impromptness” is claimed as featuring the low level of student academic performance within the period of their professional competencies development. The factors of low academic performance in the educational process are identified. The areas of the potential hazard of a low-level academic performance are defined. These are regarded as a dynamic subordinated process of risk generation that comprises the student, the higher education system, and the socio-economic system. The direct proportion of the motivation to study and students’ trust in all structural components of the higher education system is assumed. Conclusion: Under current conditions, trust in the educational environment as a cognitive component of students’ professional competencies is the primary factor of students’ academic performance, motivating continuous learning. Scientific novelty: The direct proportion between students’ cognitive abilities and the level of their academic performance in the learning process is empirically justified.

#1-soc Sociological analysis of the indigenous people’s attitude towards immigrants and the changes they bring: the case of 23 European countries

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to conduct a sociological analysis of the attitude of indigenous citizens residing in some Eastern European countries to migrants and the influence they exert on the socio-economic situation in the country of arrival. Methods: A sociological study was carried out, covering a total sample of respondents amounting to 50,000 [...] Load More people from 23 European countries. Random or stratified random sampling techniques were applied. Data weighting was implemented using combined population and design weights. Results: Based on the 2016-2020 research, it was found that Hungary, the Czech Republic and Russia are countries with the most negative attitude towards immigrants and immigration; the most negative assessments of the changes brought by immigrants are common in these countries. Positive assessments are recorded in Iceland and Sweden. The Scandinavian countries (Iceland, Sweden and Finland) are most tolerant in this regard. The research revealed groups of factors that had the greatest influence on the formation of the indigenous population’s attitude towards immigrants: firstly, cultural factors (values and beliefs of the people living in the studied countries); secondly, economic factors (competition in the labor market, income level, GDP level, share of immigrants in the population); thirdly, socio-demographic factors (gender, age, educational level, type of settlement), and fourthly, contextual factors (religion, political orientation, mass media influence). Conclusions: The study of the influence of all of the above factors on the attitude towards immigrants in Europe revealed that the economic factor exerts the strongest influence. Scientific novelty: The conducted sociological and factor analysis made it possible to establish that the perception of immigrants by the indigenous inhabitants of several European countries is influenced by the specifics of the economy, historical characteristics, the intensity of immigration flows in each country, and the ethnic hierarchy of arriving immigrants. This allows the authors to assert that it is impossible to develop a common immigration policy for all European countries that considers all the reasons for anti-immigrant sentiments.

In addition, the company is planning to utilize Outsourcing in IT vigorously. The business continuity plan significantly relies on the provided IT quality services and the reliability and availability of the IT infrastructure. Firstly, the issues that the multifunctional complexes of the roadside services confront are because of the lack of Proper IT infrastructure management and maintenance. The management processes system is developed using the ITSM most excellent practices and in conformity with the goals of the business and the IT role in the multifunctional complexes of the roadside services network. Several methodologies and techniques combination was used: The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v. 3) — IT service management set of practices, COBIT 5 framework for information technology governance and management and the first international standard for the IT’s management-ISO/IEC 20000. Therefore, the suggested solution capacity to handle the identified issues and to alleviate the risk is justifiable.
