#21 Western European influence on the residential architecture in China at the end of the 19th – the first half of the 20th centuries (case study of Guangdong Province)

Abstract: The active phase of the development of eclecticism at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries significantly changed the Chinese settlements’ appearance, in particular in the Guangdong province, which, due to its special geopolitical position, is an outpost for the development of the European presence. Determination of the influence of [...] Load More European and national architecture on the formation of residential and public buildings in China of this period is at the initial stage of development. The reserach purpose is to identify the features of the formation of the eclectic architecture of residential buildings in China in the late 19th – early 20th centuries in the Guangdong province. In the study, literary, digital, cartographic, photo and video sources were studied and analyzed; expeditions to China and Southeast Asia were organized. At the same time, the method of observation and study of the source base was widely used. The descriptive method was applied to describe the compositional and stylistic features, planning solutions, urban planning situation of the objects under consideration. The comparison method allowed comparing the studied buildings with the samples of national architecture and European settlements’ architecture of the late 19th – first half of the 20th century. The historical-geographical analysis was carried out; the hypothetical-deductive method was used alongside with the method of graphic modeling and mapping. The periodization of the development of the Chinese-Western regional architecture and the principles of its distribution and correlation with the level of Europeanization were proposed; an extended typological classification of the main types of eclectic architecture in the region was developed. Based on the data obtained, the transformation of both Western and traditional architectural elements in the course of the development of eclectic architecture was analyzed, considering the peculiarities of the perception of semantics by the local population. The levels of such a transformation of Western techniques and elements and the degree of their integration in each of them were singled out. The prototypes of Sino-Western architecture were identified and systematized; the periodization of the development of the eclectic residential architecture in the Guangdong Province was described for the first time; the phases and system of the spread of eclecticism were considered; for the first time, a typology of Sino-Western architecture of residential buildings in the Guangdong Province was developed and the manifestation of European influence in the Guangdong Province was analyzed at the levels of urban planning, space-planning solutions, and decorative elements; the principles of transformation and synthesis of traditional and borrowed elements in the architecture of residential buildings in the province were revealed; a number of historical types of Chinese residential buildings, scientific terms, and a new block of foreign published sources were introduced into scientific discourse.

The research methodology includes the study of literature, functional and structural-morphological analysis of the latest implemented, planned for implementation, and competitive projects of university campuses based on publications about them. Based on the material of modern university campuses, the study: showed that the inner courtyard acts as the university’s main public space; revealed that its dominant function changes depending on the era and university affiliation; identified the main types of open public space on the territory of the modern university campus; showed architectural techniques for building the interaction of internal and external public space; characterized main architectural solutions of the internal multi-light public space; determined that the amphitheater can function as a shaping structure for the entire building of the university campus, and as an architectural dominant in the main public space; presented the main types of jobs in the public space; emphasized that the system of architectural techniques revealed in the study acts as a tool for the implementation of the latest semantic orientation for the creation of a new type of educational environment. #19 Principles of architectural formation of modern small and medium-sized industrial enterprises

The research purpose is to develop principles and approaches to the formation of architectural and spatial solutions for small and medium-sized industrial enterprises. The study was carried out based on systematization of world practical experience in the architectural design of industrial enterprises and a comparative analysis of their design key principles. Also, morphological and system-oriented analyses, theoretical modeling, synthesis of promising solutions were carried out in the search for new ways for the development of industrial architecture. The study identified the main innovative modifications in the global industrial architecture of the 21st century and the types of advancing small and medium-sized businesses, as well as additional specific factors that affect the architecture of the studied enterprises; the significance of socio-economic factors for these enterprises was confirmed, their mutual correlation and dependence on the time factor of the enterprise development were revealed; a system for structuring a small industrial enterprise was developed; the principles of architectural formation of the studied enterprises were formulated; conflicts arising during the design and operation of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the mutual influence of time and five specific factors were identified; the dominant influence on the architectural formation of these enterprises was proved by the correlation of the significance of the above factors; based on the principle of architectural and investment design and the principle of using a two-phase scheme of architectural and construction investments, temporal and spatial algorithms for the formation of modern small and medium-sized industrial enterprises were proposed. The features of the architecture of small and medium-sized enterprises were described; current factors that have a dominant influence on the formation of the architecture of small and medium-sized enterprises were identified; the concept of “strategy of architectural and construction investments” was proposed; the principles of formation of the architecture of modern small and medium-sized industrial enterprises were formulated; a two-level algorithm for the architectural design of industrial enterprises of small and medium-sized businesses was proposed, considering the inevitable fluctuations in the modern socio-economic environment.

#18 The public space of a modern high-rise building: the evolution of structure and function

At different stages of the study, the following were applied: a comparative analysis of graphic materials and texts, a systematic analysis of the evolution of the spatial structure of a building as a self-organizing system, a holistic approach to the study of a high-rise building as a spatial and functional integrity. The hypothetico-deductive method – a method of theoretical study and making conclusions about empirical facts from hypotheses – was used as the most promising technique. In the study, the evolution of the spatial and functional structure of a high-rise building during the 20th-early 21st centuries was comprehensively considered and presented regarding the development of its public space: the prevailing trend in the further development of a high-rise building was determined; the dependence of the main modern trends in the design of skyscrapers on the four dominant motivations today was demonstrated; the most promising methods of building a public space were identified; the conclusion was formulated about the prospects of the spatial core, which organizes around itself the complex space of a block of floors, as a compositional technique; two main types of developed public space of a high-rise building were identified; a promising option for the development of a high-rise complex was determined – a multi-stem one; two main trends in multi-barrel construction were identified and defined; the trend of increasing influence of the construction of public space on the appearance and the entire structure of a high-rise building and complex was determined and confirmed; the most promising options for the development of high-rise structures in relation to the development of their public space were presented. The article systematically presents the historical process of development of the public space of a high-rise building; the author-developed classification of the main types of public space of a high-rise building was introduced based on their purpose, the degree of society coverage (from a particular family to the city level) and the spatial structure; the main trends in the prospective development of the public space of a high-rise building and their influence on the development of its spatial structure and external appearance were determined.

#17 Ovulatory function of the ovaries in women with type 1 diabetes mellitus in relation to the carbohydrate metabolism compensation

Abstract: The features of the reproductive system in women with type 1 diabetes mellitus, manifested in a high frequency of ovarian hormonal insufficiency, which is the leading cause of reproductive dysfunction, were studied. Despite the great attention of researchers to the issues of the pathogenesis of hormonal ovarian insufficiency in such women, this problem [...] Load More remains under-analyzed. In this regard, the research purpose is to study the violation of the ovulatory function of the ovaries and the possibility of its recovery in women of reproductive age with type 1 diabetes, depending on the carbohydrate metabolism compensation. In the study, the clinical and laboratory characteristics of the examined women were compiled based on: the results of clinical and laboratory, and hormonal examinations; determination of anti-ovarian antibodies in the blood in the blood serum of patients using enzyme immunoassay; assessment of the degree of compensation for type 1 diabetes by the level of glycemia and the content of glycated hemoglobin A1c in the blood; evaluation of the stage of diabetic nephropathy based on a general urinalysis, urinalysis for proteinuria, a test for microalbuminuria by quantitative and semi-quantitative methods, and functional tests; ophthalmological examination; ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs; statistical processing of the obtained results using the methods of parametric and non-parametric statistics; processing the material with the statistical tools of the Excel 2010 program, a standard software package for applied statistical analysis; methods of descriptive statistics; assessment of differences in the values of quantitative indicators in different groups according to Student’s t-test for independent samples and the parametric Mann-Whitney U-44 test; comparison of frequency and nominal values according to Pearson’s chi-squared test with Yates correction and Fisher’s exact test for small samples; correlation analysis based on the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient (r). As a result of the study, it was found that 62.2% of women with type 1 diabetes of reproductive age have ovarian insufficiency; it was determined that the frequency of occurrence of ovarian insufficiency correlates with the compensation of metabolic disorders characteristic of diabetes, insulin dose and does not depend on the insulin regimen, and in patients with anovulatory cycles – a significant decrease in the level of FSH and globulin that binds sex steroids, as well as a significant increase in the level of total and free testosterone levels compared to healthy women. It was proved that ovarian insufficiency in women of reproductive age with type 1 diabetes mellitus is associated with the carbohydrate metabolism compensation, the insulin dose, an increase in the level of total and free testosterone, a decrease in sex steroid-binding globulin, an increase in volume and a change in the structure of the ovaries. The possibility of restoring the ovulatory function of the ovaries in 61.8% of women with decompensated diabetes with anovulation or luteal phase deficiency was confirmed when diabetes compensation was achieved. A number of practical recommendations was developed for wide use in the control of women with type 1 diabetes mellitus of reproductive age: to conduct hormone testing and ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs to assess the hormonal function of the ovaries; with ovarian insufficiency, to carry out more careful control of carbohydrate metabolism and optimize insulin therapy; to re-evaluate the hormonal function of the ovaries when compensation for diabetes in women of reproductive age is achieved; to settle the issue of the advisability of hormone replacement therapy for the prevention of menstrual irregularities and proliferative diseases of the reproductive system in women who do not plan pregnancy. The study is the first to demonstrate that the volume of the ovaries, the number of antral follicles in them in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus are directly dependent on microvascular diabetic complications and the insulin dose. It was found that the level of progesterone in these patients with a preserved menstrual cycle has a significant negative correlation with the level of glycated hemoglobin. It was proved that the ovulatory function of the ovaries in women with decompensated diabetes and ovarian insufficiency can be restored in 61.8% of cases with compensation for type 1 diabetes. It was confirmed that the data on the normal level of anti-ovarian antibodies and the titer of antibodies to ovarian antigens in such women indicate the absence of the significance of autoimmune ovarian damage in the pathogenesis of ovarian failure in type 1 diabetes mellitus.

#16 Autoantibody spectrum and blood cytokine profile in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and unspecified reactive arthropathy

However, contradictory diagnostic data in children with such joint diseases [...] Load More determine the relevance of assessing the prevalence of autoantibodies (AAB), the level of cytokines (CK) in whole-blood cell culture supernatants. The research purpose is to evaluate the frequency of determination of AAB, the features of the production of pro- and anti-inflammatory CK in children with JIA and unspecified reactive arthropathy (nReA). The work was carried out according to the general scientific methodology based on a systematic approach applying formal-logical and specific methods. An integrated approach was used, including the analysis of outpatient records, laboratory and statistical methods. The frequency of occurrence of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) was studied; spontaneous and stimulated production of pro- and anti-inflammatory CK by peripheral blood cells, as well as the level of these proteins in blood serum, were evaluated. A comparative analysis of the obtained data with the results of the reference group was applied. The study found the frequency of antibodies against modified citrullinated vimentin (AMCV) and ANA in the reaction of indirect immunofluorescence in patients with JIA and with nReA; the most common types of substrate fluorescence. The research discovered that in patients with JIA there is an imbalance in spontaneous cytokine production, and in patients with nReA there is an increase in spontaneous production of both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory CK by blood cells; when mitogen stimulated blood cells in children with JIA and nReA, there is an increase in TNF-α production, a decrease in the secretion of IL-1β, IL-8, IFN-γ, IL-1ra, compared to conditionally healthy children; in children with JIA, there are no differences between groups with positive and negative values of AMCV in clinical, radiological parameters and CK production, as well as between groups with positive and negative results of the determination of antinuclear factor (ANF). It is recommended to use the obtained data on AAT production and cytokine profile in chronic inflammatory joint diseases in children, rheumatology, and physiology. It is not required to determine the level of AMCV in nReA patients. It is proposed to simultaneously evaluate spontaneous and stimulated production of pro- and anti-inflammatory CK by blood cells in scientific and clinical practice. For the first time, a research of the frequency of detection of ANA and ACP in children with nReA was conducted; the production of pro- and anti-inflammatory CK by peripheral blood cells in patients with nReA was studied; a comprehensive study of spontaneous and stimulated synthesis of pro- and anti-inflammatory CK by peripheral blood cells in patients with JIA, nReA and in healthy children was carried out using a common methodological framework. The methodological approach with the use of mitogen stimulation made it possible to characterize the features of CK production by blood cells, which were not manifested in the study of their spontaneous synthesis. The theoretical framework of the study is based on theories of education and personality development, teaching foreign languages, intercultural communication, basic categories of theory and methods of teaching foreign languages, and theories and methods of forming foreign language competence and communicative competence. Interactive services, Microsoft Teams platforms, health-saving, information and communication, and gaming technologies, criteria-based assessment, functional literacy, CLIL, mnemonics techniques, and various forms of lessons were used. A methodology for teaching a foreign language was proposed, which was assumed from the logic of affective, communicative-cognitive, competence-based, personality-oriented, and sociocultural approaches; was based on the principles of learning (individualization, communicative orientation, systematicity, durability, audiovisual clarity, continuous consolidation of the material covered and the principle of focusing on solving a communicative task) and targeted on increasing students’ motivation in the educational process; and was implemented considering students’ individual characteristics.

#12 International cooperation as a means of forming a common educational space for engineering universities (study of experiences in countries)

In this regard, the research purpose is to develop a structural and functional model for the formation of a common educational space of engineering universities using the example of Russia and Vietnam, to identify and substantiate the organizational and pedagogical conditions for its implementation. The methodological basis of the study was based on systemic and activity-based approaches. The theoretical framework of the study was developed on scientific works dealing with the internationalization of education as a factor in improving its quality; works dedicated to the network interaction of educational organizations and modeling and designing educational systems; as well as the concept of development of engineering education. In the study, methods, both theoretical (analysis of literary sources on the problem under study, generalization of innovative pedagogical experience, comparison, synthesis, forecasting, and modeling), and empirical ones (studying the experience of implementing international academic cooperation: the case of Russian universities; observation; survey; and conversation) were applied; as well as methods of statistical data processing, systematization, and generalization of the data obtained. In the study, an analysis of the possibilities of universities in Russia and Vietnam was made to form a common educational space for engineering universities (FCESEU) from these countries; a structural-functional model of FCESEU was developed as in the case of these countries; the prerequisites for the development of international cooperation in engineering education were identified using their example; the content of the management activities of the proposed model subjects were substantiated, depending on the industrial enterprises’ requirements; the regional involvement of engineering universities in Russia and Vietnam as one of the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the proposed model was evidence-based; a set of information, methodological, and regulatory support for international cooperation in engineering education in Russia and Vietnam was developed, as well as a series of author's manuals. Scientific novelty: the concept of "common educational space of engineering universities" was clarified; a number of prerequisites for the development of international cooperation in engineering education in Russia and Vietnam was identified and substantiated; a structural and functional model for the formation of a common educational space for engineering universities was developed and tested using the example of Russia and Vietnam; the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the model for the formation of a common educational space of engineering universities was determined as in the case of Russia and Vietnam. However, the insufficient development of this issue in psychological and pedagogical science, in particular the conditions that contribute to the formation of students’ productive interaction with educational Internet resources considering an ergonomic approach, determined the reserach purpose: to theoretically substantiate and empirically test the organizational and pedagogical, and psychological and pedagogical conditions for the formation of student’s productive interaction with the educational Internet resource. The methodological basis of the study was: a systematic approach to solving the problems of cognition of human psychology and comprehensive and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of its nature; a cognitive approach, involving the general process of information exchange between a person and the environment; and informational and ergonomic approaches. In the study, the following theoretical methods were used: the study of legal documents and scientific literature, systematization and interpretation of facts, analysis and synthesis, modeling, abstraction method, extrapolation. The empirical methods applied in the research are: survey, psychological and pedagogical experiment, comparison, and method of statistical processing of experimental results. The research results are as follows: theoretical ideas about the impact of informatization on the educational process in general and on the formation of a student’s productive interaction with an educational Internet resource in particular, about the possibilities of using ergonomics for these purposes, the peculiarities of student’s perception of educational information on a computer screen were supplemented and expanded; the criteria-diagnostic apparatus was enriched with a set of monitoring tools for the organization of the student's interaction with the educational Internet resource; the theory of e-learning and distance learning technologies was developed. The organizational, psychological, and pedagogical conditions for the formation of a productive interaction between a student and an educational Internet resource identified in the research can be widely implemented in educational organizations of various levels, as well as used in the design of professional retraining programs and advanced training programs for educators. The research novelty is as follows: organizational and psychological-pedagogical aspects of informatization were revealed and analyzed; the main features of the levels of the physical environment were identified; it was found that when interacting with educational content on the screen, the student primarily pays attention to the text, and not to the images, and when searching for an answer to a question and during remembering reading, the student mainly concentrates on the text in the screen F-zone; it was proved that the strategies for visual processing of educational information differ between natural sciences and humanities students; monitoring was developed to assess the productivity of the formed interaction of the student with the educational Internet resource.

#10 Development of Teachers’ Psychological and Pedagogical Competencies in the System of Inclusive Education

In this regard, the research purpose is to identify the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the development and self-development of the TPPC in IPEO to substantiate approaches to the development of self-educational programs. The study is based on methodological provisions: systemic, competence-based, and personality-oriented approaches. The theoretical basis involves the works on the organizational, resource, and psychological-pedagogical foundations of training and the quality of education. The work was carried out using theoretical (study and analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature) and empirical (testing, survey, conversation, teachers’ reflection on self-assessment of the level of development of professional competencies, analysis of the process and result of experimental activity) methods. The research results supplement the theory of additional vocational education based on the idea of teachers’ two-level advanced training: the structure of the TPPC in IPEO was theoretically substantiated; criteria for the TPPC formation were proposed; a personality-oriented two-level program for the development of TPPC in the system of inclusive education was elaborated and substantiated; the technology of creating individual programs for self-development of teachers’ professional competencies was presented; the effectiveness of combining teachers’ corporate training with their permanent self-development and the use of individual personal programs was proven; the essence and content of the concepts “teachers’ psychological and pedagogical competencies”, “information-educational environment of an inclusive educational organization”, “reflexive approach to self-development”, “individual self-development program”, “personally oriented self-educational activity of teachers” was revealed. Scientific novelty of the research is that the concept of “information-educational environment of an inclusive professional educational organization” was clarified; professionally significant requirements necessary for teachers to work in an inclusive professional educational environment were identified; the components of the TPPC IPEO were defined in the context of the teacher’s professional standard; the use of the principle of the priority of learning in obtaining knowledge in teachers’ independent activities was verified; the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the development of TPPC IPEO were scientifically substantiated and experimentally confirmed; a universal two-level program for the development and self-development of the TPPC IPEO was developed; the criteria, indicators, and levels of development of the TPPC working in IPEO were proposed.

Abstract: The research purpose is to identify, substantiate, and test the pedagogical conditions for the development of professional and pedagogical skills of a teacher in the university for creative arts applying theater pedagogy. The study used a set of methods: theoretical methods (analysis of sources on a research problem, structuring ideas, approaches, [...] Load More and facts, qualitative analysis of pedagogical practice and documents, pedagogical modeling); generalization of scientific data; empirical methods (questionnaire, pedagogical experiment, and observation); statistical methods for processing the experiment results (Pearson’s criterion); retrospective analysis and generalization of pedagogical theory and practice; generalization and systematization of scientific facts; survey to identify the level of formation of professional and pedagogical skills, the influence of acting skills on the quality of teacher’s performance in the university of a creative profile, his personal experience in theatrical activity, judgments about the proximity of pedagogical and acting activities. Criteria were proposed that contribute to monitoring the development of professional and pedagogical skills of a teacher in the university of a creative profile through theater pedagogy. A structural-functional model was designed and implemented that contributes to the effective formation of teacher’s professional and pedagogical skills in the university of a creative profile through theater pedagogy; diagnostic tools were developed, including criteria and indicators for upgrading professional and pedagogical skills as a holistic personal education. The results obtained make a certain contribution to the methods and techniques for the development of teacher’s professional and pedagogical skills in the university of a creative profile, to the theory of theater pedagogy as a means of developing and improving the teachers’ professional skills. They can be used in advanced training courses for teachers of higher and additional professional education in the context of developing their creative potential, and in the work with gifted children and youth. The created diagnostic tools can be used to develop the professional and pedagogical skills of teachers through the theater pedagogy technologies.
